The cashier, Feza, was very polite and professional and quickly worked to get everyone through the line and checked out, and no one felt like they were in line very long, even though there was a very long line. She was very friendly and helpful.

Ali at The Pro-Desk by far is the best of any other Home depot.He will get out from his desk to walk you around to help. Mr. Ali cares allot about his customers and will advise you what will work for you.

No one is willing to help and a majority of associates are rude.

The store is a jumbled up mess with cluttered isles.

I have always visited this location even when i lived on the otherside of the county just because the staff here is on top of there game. no questions asked.

Over the years I have had good experiences at this location and easily would have given 5 stars. There were two associates who stood out tonight, 5 stars. One who is new welcomed me to home depot and offered help; the other walked from his area to show me where an item was located. So for those two associates; they were great! But this review is about an encounter with a cashier especially during this time of COVID-19 that has changed my perspective. We have to wear a mask to enter the store. I don't have a problem with that. We know we have to stand in line to respect capacity percentages and as a patron I did. In fact I stood in line for 15 minutes to enter the store. I didn't have a problem with that. We also have to respect other customers and do our best to maintain 6 feet distance and I did. I don't have a problem with that. Why did the cashier not adhere to the public health safety practices Home Depot claims are put in place? There wasn't a line at self check out and all lanes were open. I was at self check out and done about to pay when one of the associates/cashier asked if I needed help. I mentioned I thought the price of one item (the last of all items) which I was buying in bulk was a little cheaper. I was ready to pay. She came in to close to me and the cart with in a foot. She was so cavalier to then erase everything without asking and proceeded to re-ring everything. She touched everything, reached over into the cart moved items around. I had everything paired and large items were neatly placed for transport and easy transfer. The total was the same so what was the problem was I targeted?

Great store, clean and fully stocked with everything you need! I needed help buying a Honda lawn mower and Jonathan was a tremendous help with product information so I could make the correct decision on the purchase. There were plenty of staff on hand if you needed assistance.

VERY HELPFUL

I have never been treated so poorly in any hardware store I’ve been in the past. I bought two set of Milwaukee tools. In the purchase (1) multi tool 18v 2626-20 (1) drill 2850-210, I bought (6) box of duplex, (2) tool bags, and (1) two set 12 volt batteries. Unfortunately I made the mistake to grab the wrong set of tools because the ones that I needed were 12 V. I came the next day to Gaithersburg home depot to return them. They were two associates in the return desk that could not help me. They called an assistant manager which she was not too knowledgeable about return policies. She gave me a number to call. I did not get anything resolve from the store. I was so frustrated because I had the proof receipt that I purchased these two set of tools the day before. Also, since they were so incompetent about helping me, they were literally 20 people waiting for returns not keeping their proper 6 feet social distance. I’m pretty sure every customer at the return area felt this way due to the incompetence of Home Depot employees to take care of a simple return and that make everyone wait.

I tried to rent the HD truck from this store to take a pallet of mulch home prior to the stay-in-place order due to COVID-19, so at least I could work in my garden during curfew, and a supervisor refused to rent it to me claiming that it was only an hour prior to closing, despite the fact that I live only 10 min away from the store (verifiable on my DL). He claimed it was company policy and didn't budge, absolutely no understanding and flexibility given the circumstances. It was like I was stealing the truck and never coming back. Thank God the car rentals don't work the same way, can you imagine that? They had to refund my purchase and since I paid in part with Gift Cards I got store credit that now I can't use to order online (another bad experience). I had no other way to get the mulch I needed so now I stay inside and write reviews instead of mulching in my garden. I would've given it one star rating but other associates were actually helpful. Still won't shop at HD again after I spend the store credit I'm stuck with...

I did an online pick up for some items. The store gave me PREVIOUSLY USED items that someone had returned, charged me full price. Didn't find out until I got home. Then they made me turn around come back to exchange it and I had to wait in line to get into the store on top of it. Massive waste of my day because you all tried to give me a returned item and not take a loss on it.

Great customer service two of them were on the phone with other stores to Reserve a generator to be purchased and picked up same day. All while attending other customer needs.

Customer service is attentive, friendly and available to assist in a moment’s notice.

Fantastic customer service.

Parking is always an issue here. Spaces come at a premium and it’s difficult to navigate the lot, whether it’s undergoing construction or not. If you require the assistance of a customer service associate on the sales floor, be prepared to go searching for someone. Then be prepared to wait while the three people who found them first get their question answered. Additionally, if you’re looking for something specific, you may or may not find it. Or, you’ll find it, but not in the quantity or quite the right color/price you were expecting. I dread coming to this Home Depot.

Customer service was awful. Asked to speak with a manager twice and was told that no manager was available.

Excellent customer service recovery by a manage who stepped in when the cashier could not get her receipt printing machine to work.

Great employee assistance, helpful cashier and friendly. Made my shopping so easy and quick.

I live in PA. but I was helping my 89 yr old mother in Rockville, MD. I needed flooring but was having great dificulty btw the inventory HD.com showed & the stores. I gave up & called the Gaithersburg MD store & talked to a knowledgeable & professional woman who literally made my purchase possible! ThanksYT!

Easily accessible. However, to get any help you need to try and find an associate. Then if you have an issue with a purchase, you can't get through on the phone. Very frustrating experience at this store as some other stores aren't as bad. Customer service needs to improve or at least people answering phones do. And, this website is not much better.

Shopping at this location was great I went to your Germantown store first they did not have what I came for.after trying to find someone to help me,witch was'nt easy .The first person said please find someone else for he was just about to go on break.So I did and I was helped but they were out of stock.That's when I asked about the Shady grove location.That's when I saw they had what I was after.

The store is very clean in general. And all employees are very helpful. They always assist me finding the right things to buy. I would always come back to this branch and highly recommend it to many people!

Store is well stocked, and cashiers are excellent - but the store has a chronic problem with employees condescending/disrespecting customers.
