People at this store are outstanding. Most of them have helped me at one time or another. Great team! That said, the selection could stand improvement. I have shopped here for everything from exterior lighting to bathroom sinks and faucets only to be disappointed by the selection available. Only one sink matched my criteria for a bathroom sink that would fit into a 19” deep vanity. Quartz countertops, the selection is just ok, but the hardwood lumber, faucets, drawer/door handles came from other specialty businesses. I love The Depot and shop there often. The quality and selection could be much better for my needs.

I ordered ThomasVille artisan antique aqua marine kitchen cabinets that cost me additional $3000 for the special finish. They arrived with brown spots on them. All the doors ,drawers ,sides .It has been a month still waiting for them to resolve this issue. Terrible customer service.What a mistake to work with Home Depot . Never again!

I received a shelving order and the box was destroyed and had the shipping label over the cello tape holding it together and missing a part. Something they obviously could not sell on the shelf..

Over the years I have purchased more than a few items from Home Depot that had bought and returned, too many times what I pulled from the shelf and took home turned out to be defective, or modified, most likely by a previous customer who then returned it to Home Depot. My current example is that of the kitchen sink I just purchased and which took a week to get to the store. It was in a badly abused box. That should have told me to take a serious look at the sink but it was late in the day and I wanted to get home to dinner. When I opened the box the next day I found a 4" long dent in the rim of the sink. This is an undermount sink and is unusable. Dents like this would eventualy cause the sink to leak around the rim, and this one is going under a quartz counter. Note: this is a 16 guage sink - much thicker metal than your usual sink. Putting this ding in the rim required a much heavier blow than someone could give it in transport or moving it around a house. From the condition of the box it was clear that the sink had gone through a bunch of hands at Home Depot but no one thought to check it out before returning it to stock and then shipping it from the wharehouse in Texas to me in Calif.

Everytime I shop in the electrical department Doug has been my go to clerk bc he knows all the inventory and exactly what part I need to complete my project.

The store's associates are very friendly, engaging, and care about the customer. Especially Ron and Jason in the plumbing section. Also, the store is well stocked and offers great prices.

They recently got rid of their entire flower and vegetable seed display, and they haven't carried any grass seed in at least two years.

It really is a nice feeling when you are starting a big project and someone says "Can I help you." Ed was kind enough to do just that and give some great ideas. P.S. He is in the plumbing department.

It’s not really about the products. I can get the products anywhere I want. I choose to go to this store because it’s near my house. However, when I do go, it makes a difference in how I am treated by employees when I am needing assistance. There are some really great staff at the Genesee store. I really like Amelia. I think she is an assistant manager. Judy, Steven in plumbing, William in special orders, Douglas who cuts keys and Alex in electrical. But I have been a customer at this store since the 80’s.

His name is todd he helps me every time I go to this stor he is very knowledgeable and cares about his work and helping customers if you need help go to this store and ask for todd he is a very good employee

I love going to the HD on Genesee near my home. The workers are always so helpful and knowledgeable. It's easy to get to and it always seems to have what I'm looking for!

Decent selection and standard Home Depot prices. However, two employees Yayah and Pamela were beyond helpful and friendly when helping us solve our problems.

On line order came in and got notice it arrived. Super easy picking up item.

I would honestly say this is never happened to me an employee walked up to me Sara Fox Starkey and asked me if I needed help, not did i. It was like she read my mind and knew exactly what I needed. She also made suggestions to help me out with my project. Kudos Sara #1 employee. You don't see that kind of help nowadays. 😉

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot over the past decade in upgrading two of my homes. Never have I experienced such a terrible customer service experience that I recently had at the Genesee location. Without repeating the entire story, suffice to say that I was not only shocked, but offended at the lack of customer service and the absolute disregard for their customers well-being. all in all, this fundamentally changed my outlook on what Home Depot is about and made clear to me that all they care about is their bottom line and checking in and checking out.

I needed some brass under-sink fittings. Could not find 3/8 fpt x 3/8 compression valves or press-in fittings for 1/8 plastic tubing. Only one employee with two others waiting. Undoubtedly pipe fittings are hard to keep organized 'cause customers mix them up. This is an area where we need to be taken by the hand and guided to the right spot.

They have LOTS of self-checkout kiosks, so no waiting in line.

we ordered a cabinet on wednesday, HD told us it'd be in store the next day, we told them our contractor would pick it up saturday. today is saturday and they kept him waiting around for half an hour and tried to tell us the cabinet wouldn't be here till tomorrow. can't keep track of a simple order and wasted our time upon opening the cabinet, it isn't even the right one!

I have shopped at Home Depot for decades and this store is the neatest, best organized one I've ever been in! No clutter, no products falling on the floor. AND, the icing on the cake: many available employees, ready to offer help. Nice store, Home Depot, I'll be back!

We had an excellent experience yesterday at the Genesee store in San Diego. Your employee, Jewels Bromley patiently helped us figure out our ProMax account. It’s a very confusing system if you don’t have instruction from a knowledgeable employee. Jewels made it easy for us and was so kind and fun.
