When a defective product is purchased the store is unable to help resolve the issue. They say to call the manufacturer. They would not order the, missing part. The number I called lied about the store being able to get ,me another item. The store claimed that they have nothing to do with the number I was told to call with any problems. The employees just shrug and say they can't do anything.

This Store #8473 is the neatness and most organized I have seen in the last couple of weeks. I have been to Orange, Stratford, Bridgeport and none of these store are as well organized and neat as this one. Customer Service was excellent we purchase brackets and because the young man Kyle helped us from the time we came in and after helping asked if we needed anything else. Kyle made our experience very pleasant that we wanted to purchase our grill from this wonder store. We had another great young man Anthony that helped us as well. He came out and saw the model we wanted and took us back in the back to see if there was another model already put together. He made small talk and not rushing or seeming annoyed as we where not sure if we wanted a floor model or one in a box. We eventually wanted one in the box he got the box down and put it on a cart and maneuver the cart throught some boxes until it was clear and we could steer the cart. These two young men went above and beyond for us today and stayed with us and asked if we needed anything else. This was one of the best experiences my wife and I have had at Home Depot. I had a wonderful experience today at the Home Depot in Hamden! Greeted and helped by the most amazing associate Jeff from Kitchen & Bath! He was so helpful and walked me to the different products I was asking about and helped me find multiple items in the store. I had questions about different items and he answered them while listening & being patient . I’m thankful I had Jeffs help as I was able to find all the things I needed but also learned a few pointers on doing a household chore with ease! Great employee!

Terrible customer service. I will never go back to this particular home depot if I can help it even though it is closer to my home. Poor customer service, no accountability, lack of pride to provide first time resolution. Did not process my refund correctly. Numerous trips and failed calls to this location. If you want your blood pressure to go up go to this one. If not make the effort to go to another one.

If you ever have the pleasure of getting Denise as your cashier, you will have the most pleasant checkout and it will literally turn your day around. I went to the store knowing nothing about a fence renovation for a family friend and left with all of the tools, materials and knowledge I needed to be successful. She not only did all of this - she also did this with a professional and friendly demeanor. I truly cannot say enough nice things about how pleasant my visit was today. Kudos to a stellar employee.

The store does a good job of providing hand sanitizer at the entrance of the store. Staff employees help me find items I am looking to purchase. They are also knowledgeable about the products.

Customer service and management incompetent

A great store for women to go to for their plumbing and electrical needs. The staff in both departments make plumbing and electrical projects attainable for those women who like to do their own stunts. As a women I have been in other stores where the associates have asked me to get my husband so they could explain the project to him. This is not the case in the Hamden HD and as a result I recommend it to my like-minded friends.

Jay was absolutely amazing. Simone is a different story. She was very sassy, rude, and clearly didn’t want to do her job. It isn’t that hard to scan a coupon without treated people disrespectfully...

Customer service is bad.

I would recommend the store but not the Tool Repair area. The associate that I interacted with today (Shuresa) was rude, unpleasant, and did not explain the entire process up front. I was told that my repair could take 6-8 weeks. After I paid a diagnostic fee that wasn't explained ahead of time either, I said "So I should expect my item back by September." She then proceeded to tell me that 6-8 weeks is the minimum, that it could take much longer, that the tool repair facility in Indianapolis gets 2,000 items a day! WHAT? So the whole warranty and extended warranty thing is a scam. You could be without your tools for MONTHS, you have to pay $20 for them to diagnose the issue (even though the item is under warranty AND even if you have the paid for extended warranty), and in the end, the item might not be repaired. Home Depot needs to review these policies because they are very sketchy! AND Shuresa - try to be nicer and try to listen to your customers next time - or quit and find a job where you don't have to interact with the public. You are evidently not happy with your current job.

John in the hardware section was super helpful. He was nice and patient with me. I felt valued as a customer. He helped me find the products I needed and also helped me get a screw out of an anchor which I was not able to do. He went above and beyond. Great customer service. A++++ Store was clean and employees were wearing masks.Thank you
