Don't typically shop at this Home Depot, as it's a bit farther to drive to than my regular HD... but this store had items in stock i needed so I went. What i liked best about the Middletown Home Depot was the staff! This was a Saturday early afternoon and there was available staff in every area i needed! I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance in each area. Even a "floater" staff person - helped me find items. I had an online order pickup as well, the cashier was very nice, she even rang up my basket items and then found to other staff to help me load my car! My regular home depot staff is not nearly as available/helpful.

The Customer Service person, Ashley T was friendly, cooperative and patient. The situation she had to deal with was a disaster. It took 90 minutes to confirm an order for carpet and installation. The computer system communicates poorly between the local store and the location that actually receives and coordinates the order. The details of the order were not correct, and it took Ashley nearly 90 minutes to finally get it straight. I emphacize that it was NOT her fault. The ordering center or whatever it may be called,, and the Home depot subcontractor, in this case the person who measured the carpet, obviously do not communicate between each other very well. An important detail which was agreed upon between the measurer and myself was not in the contract. It should have not taken so long to resolve..
I can only conclude that this store is adequate if you shop, purchase what you need and carry it out yourself. In no way shape or form would I EVER recommend them for any kind of custom or special order. Either the Home depot ordering center is poorly run with less than capable personnel, or the subcontractors used in the process need to be reevaluated and if necessary replaced.

Went to buy appliances and was told that the advertised units were not in stock; I was pressured for an up sale of double the price. I then asked if they could be ordered and picked up at the store and was told "no", they would have to be delivered to the site and that would take three weeks and would require additional delivery and installation fees ( sounds like another up charge to me). I then asked if they were available at another store and was told that they were in stock at the Bristol store, drove 50 miles to find out that they weren't. Drove back to the Middletown store and confronted the associate who wasn't even phased by the accusation. I then asked for the Manager who also couldn't be bothered or even showed any concern over the course of events.

Disrespected and was treated poorly !! I went to buy plants and decided to check out the oops paint where I found a couple of gallons and a 7oz oops tester paint. When asking the service rep Lana if should would please open the two gallons so I can see what it look like inside. She rudely replied the color is the same as on top of the can. Well I would hope so that's why I am trying to purchase them. I explained to her I just want to make sure it was alright, she than rudely reply with I will be right with you than condescendly tells me that one of them was an outside wood stain. Really? I was standing in front of her reading the labels on the product for several minutes. While waiting another sales associate named Mike asked if I needed assistance I asked him the same thing. To which he effortlessly open the both cans. Meanwhile while I am standing in front of him Lana comes to the side of him as she grabs something and makes a snide remark about the paint color being on top of the can as if I can not hear her !!! I wanted to go off on this lady and let everyone in the store hear me so everyone would know why I was yelling...instead I took paint and walked away to which she yells out have a good day!! I purchased them and left angry and even more angry that I did not get what I was soppose to get. I came home called and asked to speak with Dana the manager there. She was with a customer so I decided to call district and instead did the online survey to which by the time I got to this review was immediately called back by her. She explained she received the survey and wanted to know more of the experience I had today. After I explained myself. She clearly understood the situation and why I was so angry. She has apologize for lana's behavior and went as far as offering me a 50% discount on what I originally went there for. She was professional and empathetic to the situation. I appreciate the call and effort and by offering me the discount she has allowed for this location to regain my business. I'm not sure what her deal was ( lana ), or if she has gained confidence after treating other people this way and getting away with it but she definitely is in the wrong field if she thinks that's great customer service!!! By filling out this review I hope that if anyone is treated poorly by her, that they , will report her and mention the fact this has not been the first time she has treated people poorly. I am sure that their is person out there that can use the money to do her job and take pride in what they do and treat people with respect if anything at all.I gave the store 3 stars and I recommend to shop there giving that the manager called me and it was the first and hopefully the last time that happens to me.

What a great store with great associates! Each day that I visit this Home Depot, I am warmly greeted by Bud. I know practically every associate by name because they all are so polite and friendly. Just ask for Elinor, Amber, Molly, or Falon for the friendliest service in town @ the Customer Service Center Desk. I visit Kevin in flooring, Michael and Lana in painting, and my project manager Patricia in kitchens and baths to round out my morning shopping picking up supplies for the apartments. I'll check with Andy, Carl and the lovely Marianna at the Pro desk to schedule my 'bid room pick ups. I' ll wave good bye, c u later to the managers Brenda, Bruce and Mark and remind them to tell Dana, the boss, I said "thank you", for such a great experience every time I visit this store. These guys are so great, I occasionally repay their diligent hard work with a surprise, cup of coffee! This is my warehouse. This is My Home Depot!
