Best service I've ever received and I wasn't looking for any help.
I don't know what they are feeding the employees at the Mira Mesa store, but their service was AMAZING. I've been going to this store for close to 20 years and it's never been this on point.

    Huge convenient store
    For me, this store is not just a store, it’s a place where my family or friends where we can get ideas and materials to build or solutions to our household problems. Love my Mira Mesa Home Depot.

      Went to pick up an online order and the customer service was cool, loved buying online, seeing the in store availability online, purchasing online, checking out online, and picking up. I felt like a high tech hacker.

        How did they get my email??
        I was out of town on business and needed a simple item. I grabbed it and used the self check out. Paid with my business CC. I did NOT give them any personal info or anything. 3 days later i get a survey about my visit. Not sure how they are gathering information, but be aware they are tracking you.....somehow......

          As usual I was looking for someone who knew where the extension cords are -- hint: they are no in the electrical department. Found a very nice guy who walked me to them. They just don't have enough staff.

              Jack is the best
              Go see Jack in the appliance section! After our current dishwasher flooded our kitchen, we were not thrilled to go complete the chore of getting a new one. Jack, however, made our night go from frustrating to fantastic. He was super informative and fun and made hanging out in a home improvement store something to be desired. He helped us make the selection that felt right to us, streamlined the process, and helped us ensure we don't make a second trip back for missing parts. Overall, Jack made the trip a success! Thank you!

                Excellent employee
                I would like to commend Evan, the red-haired guy in Paint Dept. He helped me a lot when I was looking for a paint. He offered me options/suggestions such as which paint finish to choose from (matte or eggshell) and why one is more durable than the other. He struck me as very knowledgeable of what he was talking about. He's very efficient in dealing with multiple customers

                  I want to thank Frank (delivery service) for an excellent job. He was more than well prepared to install the new washer and dryer. Delivery was timely and he completed the job with detail and speed.

                    The personnel who helped me made a mistake in ordering my security door but tge management did not want to change or lace my order because as he said, l signed the contract. My question was, every time yoanybody purchases something from a store, especiall
                    I bought a Security door to be installed and not only was ordered wrong by the clerk who helped me but it took 10 mos. to finish the installations and although l complained about the mistake, the manager was not willing to correct it as his explanation was l signed it. My question is, if l didn't sign it at the time l purchase d it, the order was not going to happen or go through. He didn't even try to suggest or help me, the answer was a total "no". I'm not happy at all. My neighbor whose husband works for Home Depot tried to help me as well. She took me to your Mira Mesa location though we have one here by us at Mt. Carnel. I'm very disappointed and my neighbors as well. I just lost my husband at the time and since I'm elderly and alone most of the time, l decided to get a Security door. I expected better service from Home Depot since my late husband was a retired serviceman and l know your company does alot for those who served, especially his death was connected to his service. I didn't want a free door, l just want the right door that l ordered and l even demonstrated to the clerk how l like the door to open the way your own contractor explain it to me.

                          Garden hose
                          Needed a short hose as me patio is very small, like no more than 20' X 20' and found one there. Was told the aisle and then found a 25' hose which was exactly what I needed to replace my old one. Then wanted a hose holder and found it easily located very nearby. It was avery fast shopping experience for me.

                            bait and switch on 10% military discount
                            I bought a Bosch dish washer 2 days ago and later read Home Depot offers a 10% military discount -active duty and vets. Reading their disclosure statement there is nothing that suggests the discount would not apply to my sale - or it isn't clear if they have disclosed it. So I presented my DD 214 at customer service and they told me I don't get it. So that is the last time I shop at Home Depot.

                              Great Staff
                              I was trying to install a 220V outlet in my garage to charge my EV car. Warren in electrical is my go-to expert for all things electrical and he again came to my rescue. His knowledge of industry and product is second to none. He provided me with the correct products and gave me the confidence to install the outlet to professional standards. The end result is outstanding and I am very pleased with the outcome as a result of Warren's input. Warren is also a very friendly and approachable person, with a quiet confidence that I leverage with any electrical challenge.

                                One of the nicest Home Depots
                                Don't get me wrong the people I come across at all Ho.e Depots are usually very nice, but, Mira Mesa employee's just seem to be a little more helpful as ND a little more nice. Warm and fuzzy badge for this store.

                                            Suspicious activity in the parking lot.
                                            I noticed men with backpacks wondering around the parking lot & ask ladies to place their stuff in their cars for a tip. I’m sure they don’t work for Home Depot because the staff don’t ask for a tip and they wear work uniforms. I don’t think it’s safe or legal and it must be stopped, This was in Mira Mesa location in San Diego.

                                              Horrible Unfair Treatment
                                              I came into this same store less than 3 weeks ago and an employee returned an item with no debit card and gave me cash. Today I came and Ethan refused to do so and made me go home and get my card which I did not want to argue and did so. it is not a policy when your employees pick and choose who they apply it to it is actually unfair and discriminatory to do so. When I came back Myra helped me and she already knew that her drawer had no cash and so she proceeded to not give me cash not even mention that she won't be giving me cash puts it on my card and ends the transaction just use the "oh you wanted cash? i put it on the card already" excuse. When it was intentional she did not have cash anyway to give me. Then for her manager Isa to come and not resolve it not even look at me the whole time, no apology, no accountability for her team. Which is why she is unproperly trained and not equipped with the necessary tools to even do her job when leadership is coming from someone who displayed the type "leadership" she provided today. No apology that I had to go home and get the debit card cause Ethan did not want to help, no sorries for her employee intentionally deceiving a client by "mistakenly putting it on the card" when she had no money to give out anyway, all I got was "its too late wait the 3-5 business days" If that is the person that is leading the team you can expect complaints to keep coming. I am highly disappointed and felt like i was treated very unfairly.

                                                  I went in to Home Depot to get at few cleaning supplies and a vacuum. I came across 2 employees who greeted me and asked if I needed any help. They both went out there way to help me find what I needed. I hate not knowing there names but both were so kind and helpful. Excellent customer service 100%. Definitely recommend this location.

                                                    Great Service! Helpful staff!
                                                    I asked one employee where a certain item was, and another employee overheard, said he would take me to that aisle and that product. We had a little discussion about what I was going to use it for and needed to take some measurements which he helped me do. Because I forgot my tape measure! Then when I was decided on using that product. He carried it to the check out for me and then loaded it into my car. Amazing!

                                                          Beware of Accusations at Returns
                                                          Donald, a tattooed man in his probably late 30’s covered in tatts (not that it matters — just don’t want to confuse him with some one else), darker tan complexion with black hair in returns clearly didn’t want to help w/my return, I didn’t have a receipt for the items I purchased as I just moved and just recently unpacked the box with some of my returns. He kept slamming buttons on the screen & muttering stuff under his breath “how the stupid computer wasn’t working” touching random buttons that didn’t make sense and slamming his hands down on the counter. He then insisted that they don’t sell the items I was trying to return. He scanned one item it didn’t come up right away but then I’m not sure if he figured out how to do a non-receipted return but he scanned it again after and as by miracle the item all of a sudden appeared in the system. He asked when I purchased them & I said at most 6 months ago I don’t remember but pretty sure it was in Jan/Feb and I told him from the get go that I don’t have a receipt nor the gift card I used for the purchase and he kept huffing and puffing and saying how returns can only be made within 90 days. Okay… I’m not going to apologize to someone for my own stuff taking precedence over a few small items that needed to be returned and were lost the last couple of months in the move. Overall SUPER uncomfy and not helpful he tried to tell me that I didn’t purchase the items at Home Depot. At one point he seemed like he was trying to stall or not even attempt to return the items as he was pressing random buttons. I brought them back in the original packaging unopened and still in the same Home Depot plastic bag that you get at check out but ok. Guy seemed on a trip. Rude and overall unpleasant. Maybe he was having a bad day idk.
