I had a situation with hidden damage discovered after unboxing and beginning to assemble three large, heavy items. The store manager was very easy to deal with and promptly resolved my issue very satisfactorily. I had travelled 60 miles to the store to purchase these particular products.

DIDN'T SEE WHAT I NEEDED IN STORE BUT ASSOCIATES HELPED ME FIND WHAT I WANTED FOR ONLINE PURCHASE AND HELPED ME COMPLETE THE SALE....LIKE I SAID ....COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER.

Staff at this store is always super friendly and helpful. I love the garden department and can always count on plants that have been nurtured and that are really healthy. Big selection of fall plantings and some have been marked down! Love that surprise! :)

The store representatives in this store seem genuinely glad to welcome customers in and to help them. They consistently exhibit that they are trained to use the store support tools, to describe and help with the products that they carry and to direct customers who need some help.

I just completed a large paver project. This required several trips for heavy products like pavers, sand, base. Associates, especially Bruce, were extremely helpful with lifting and loading. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. No one runs away when it looks like you have a question.

I purchased two AC/HV filters with a great choice that I did not find in other stores.

I first went to this store, about 40 miles away and passing up other closer stores, because it was the only one which had in stock the item I needed, a 4 x 8 sheet of 3/4" MDF, but my previous great experience with the employees there inspired my driving the extra distance again to shop in a welcoming place with outstanding employee support. I had another great experience when I returned. Tucker assisted me and made cuts I needed in another sheet of MDF. I love this store. Thanks.

Linda and Tracy at self checkout were fantastic. Something rarely seen.

Appliance shopping. Two trips on the same day and during both trips we were approached by one of a few sales reps available to help. That never seems to happen anymore in a home improvement store. Great experience. Very much appreciated Virginia’s attention.

I am always pleased when I visit this store. It is very clean and well organized. The team is friendly and helpful. I visit at least once a week because I always have a project in progress. The only negative is the lack of cashiers. The last few times I have visited, there are only the self-check out lanes which I will not use. I also do not want the employee to cash me out at the self check out. This practice is killing jobs!!! I usually go to customer service or to the garden center in order to be checked out. I hope this practice of not having cashiers will change or I will not be able to shop here.

I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to assist. The ease of checking out as i like the self checkout also.

The store is very organized! I never have trouble finding what I’m looking for and the associates/employees are great! I’ve learned quite a few things from employees. Recently, because of an employee, I was able to re-screen my sliding screen door and I did an awesome job!!

Being a long time commercial account customer, I found dealing with the female and younger male personnel more accommodating and willing to assist you then some of the senior men.

The people make the difference. When the price of some building materials such as lumber have skyrocketed 400% and I have a choice between two big box retail home improvement stores that are directly across the street from one another it comes down to the people. Without any second thoughts I will always choose this Home Depot store as opposed to the Lowe’s home improvement store directly across the street from it. This is all based on one encounter I had that was absolutely exceptional with an employee in their garden center. This is the kind of work that comprises my background and employment experience of close to 40 years and I know a quality individual that represents a company’s interests perfectly. This lady was obviously well trained and was the best representative for your company that you could ever hope to employ. Multi level management, quality control that is based on customer service and retail has been my background for close to 40 years and I know an excellent employee when I encounter one. Excellent marks all the way around.

This is the best Home Improvement Store in ROANOKE, Because of the customer service I received there. Jay in the Garden area is excellent, and so experienced and offered me helpful advice. At check out Tracy P, the manager, my cashier Ashanti, and Linda H. were amazing and very friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to order my RING camera, so I could use my 10% off coupon and still pick up the camera today at another Home Depot, because it was out of stock at this store.

THIS HOME DEPOT STORE IS MINE AND MY HUSBAND'S FAVORITE STORE. THE EMPLOYEES ARE WELL TRAINED AND VERY HELPFUL WITH ANY QUESTIONS WE HAVE. THEY ALWAYS OFFER HELP WITH LARGER ITEMS THAT WE PURCHASE TO GET THEM LOADED INTO OUR VAN.

Good store with friendly employees

I worked at home depot in high school In the late 90s. Greeting customers and going above and beyond for them was the main priority. Some how that changed a few years back and getting help was next to impossible. So I avoided home depot for a long time. Yesterday at the store, we were greeted and asked several times if we needed help. Even the cashier Granny went above and beyond to help. Glad home depot is getting back to the way it use to be.

Catherine always brightens up our visit. She's a delightful person and goes above and beyond.

Arrived at store around 6:10pm on a Monday night to purchase 2 gallons of paint. Stood at the paint counter for 20 minutes before anyone helped me out. Found the two gallons of Behr Masonry Paint I needed but NO ONE in the store knew how to mix the color I needed. Customer Service made multiple announcement but no employee would come to paint area. In the end, I had to purchase the two Base Gallons at this store and then drive to the other Home Depot on Hershberger Road to have them mix the color. Unbelievable. By the way, that was after driving from the Hershberger Road Home Depot because they did not have the Base gallons of Masonry Paint I needed.

We just like Home Depot . So much better than across the street.

This location always has everything I need. The employees are extremely polite, helpful, and friendly. The garden department has so many beautiful things to choose from and is kept neat. Linda was my cashier in the garden department, she was extremely helpful, hard working, and friendly! Thanks so much Linda!
