The store is very organized! I never have trouble finding what I’m looking for and the associates/employees are great! I’ve learned quite a few things from employees. Recently, because of an employee, I was able to re-screen my sliding screen door and I did an awesome job!!

Love the store. Staff is always so helpful! I never stand around waiting for assistance or wander around aimlessly trying to find something.

Being a long time commercial account customer, I found dealing with the female and younger male personnel more accommodating and willing to assist you then some of the senior men.

The people make the difference. When the price of some building materials such as lumber have skyrocketed 400% and I have a choice between two big box retail home improvement stores that are directly across the street from one another it comes down to the people. Without any second thoughts I will always choose this Home Depot store as opposed to the Lowe’s home improvement store directly across the street from it. This is all based on one encounter I had that was absolutely exceptional with an employee in their garden center. This is the kind of work that comprises my background and employment experience of close to 40 years and I know a quality individual that represents a company’s interests perfectly. This lady was obviously well trained and was the best representative for your company that you could ever hope to employ. Multi level management, quality control that is based on customer service and retail has been my background for close to 40 years and I know an excellent employee when I encounter one. Excellent marks all the way around.

This is the best Home Improvement Store in ROANOKE, Because of the customer service I received there. Jay in the Garden area is excellent, and so experienced and offered me helpful advice. At check out Tracy P, the manager, my cashier Ashanti, and Linda H. were amazing and very friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to order my RING camera, so I could use my 10% off coupon and still pick up the camera today at another Home Depot, because it was out of stock at this store.

THIS HOME DEPOT STORE IS MINE AND MY HUSBAND'S FAVORITE STORE. THE EMPLOYEES ARE WELL TRAINED AND VERY HELPFUL WITH ANY QUESTIONS WE HAVE. THEY ALWAYS OFFER HELP WITH LARGER ITEMS THAT WE PURCHASE TO GET THEM LOADED INTO OUR VAN.

Good store with friendly employees

I worked at home depot in high school In the late 90s. Greeting customers and going above and beyond for them was the main priority. Some how that changed a few years back and getting help was next to impossible. So I avoided home depot for a long time. Yesterday at the store, we were greeted and asked several times if we needed help. Even the cashier Granny went above and beyond to help. Glad home depot is getting back to the way it use to be.

Catherine always brightens up our visit. She's a delightful person and goes above and beyond.

Arrived at store around 6:10pm on a Monday night to purchase 2 gallons of paint. Stood at the paint counter for 20 minutes before anyone helped me out. Found the two gallons of Behr Masonry Paint I needed but NO ONE in the store knew how to mix the color I needed. Customer Service made multiple announcement but no employee would come to paint area. In the end, I had to purchase the two Base Gallons at this store and then drive to the other Home Depot on Hershberger Road to have them mix the color. Unbelievable. By the way, that was after driving from the Hershberger Road Home Depot because they did not have the Base gallons of Masonry Paint I needed.

We just like Home Depot . So much better than across the street.

This location always has everything I need. The employees are extremely polite, helpful, and friendly. The garden department has so many beautiful things to choose from and is kept neat. Linda was my cashier in the garden department, she was extremely helpful, hard working, and friendly! Thanks so much Linda!

My concern is the fact that I'm usually in a hurry, and I can run in and get what I need, but I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma over a year ago and had to sell my truck, so I couldn't haul lumber as I normally do, so I would have to rent a uhaul pickup truck, but one of the employees there(Paul, I think) asked me why I was cutting wood in the parking one day, I explained my situation and ever since, he cuts my lumber exactly as I need for the job I'm on, won't take a tip, I've insisted, but he won't, fine people at south roanoke store, thanks for having them, I won't go anywhere else!!!

Cashier in the Garden Shop, Cindy, was friendly and efficient.

First time shopping at this store, and was so impressed with the kindness of the employees and the selection of products I was shopping for!

Nice store people are very friendly

Six weeks ago we ordered a garage door and installation. I paid in full. People came out and measured. We waited, and waited. Six weeks later we get an email refunding the money to the credit card. No explanation. No notice. Nothing. I would not do business with this store - the manager should be ashamed.

Store is clean, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, service is top notch!

This store has the nicest people working in retail anywhere. Everybody is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and really cares about helping you. I think I've been in every single department over the past 15 years, and I never leave the store feeling that I was shortchanged in any way. The store is well organized, very clean and easy to find things. If you can't find anything, or have a question about anything, there are always friendly people who know their store and products very well who will help you very quickly.

Very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant employees. They actively seek to assist you and know what they are talking about., Seems like the employees at the competitor go out of their way to avoid being approached or asked questions. When you do get one cornered, they really don't know what they are talking about and their guesses are not any better that yours.
