Employees like MaryJane make my visits to the HD much more pleasant, She is very friendly, always smiling and gives the genuine down to earth customer approach that we all used to experience at the old "mom and pop' hardwear store! Long may it last! Kudos!

I was looking for the best quality materials for my business and was able to find all the great materials and tools to make my business thrive!

My wife and I know nothing about how to select a storm door. Ken delivered a terrific customer service experience for us. A warm and inviting personality is not what I'm used to and these kind of stores, but Ken was different. He immediately welcomed us and made my wife and I very comfortable. Ken walked us through all the details of how to select an appropriate storm door and was extremely patient in answering all of our questions. We walked out of the store with a smile on our face and immediately went out for a prime rib dinner

I have found people here to be very helpful. At some other Home Depots on the North Shore, the Aprons run in the opposite direction when they see a dazed customer. Here, people will help you. And, once, I had an issue with an online order and pick up. So I reached out, and the store manager responded swiftly and in a way that more than made up for the inconvenience. A weak supply chain has been a huge issue everywhere, so I don't fault any store that can't keep everything in stock at all times. Home Depot wants customers. Luckily, they have the sort of staff who really step up when it comes to customer service, like Wayne M.

Got mulch there, charged for more than I got last visit, same with today I got 6 tomato tree racks and was charged for 7, told them before I wanted to use my military discount, showed my Disabled Vet ID they never gave me my discount, was told a month or so ago I had to spend $20 for military discount, found out that's a lie. Custom ordered a new exterior door today (9/18/22) at #2686 Salem, MA. The ordering/build process was streamlined and painless. Associate, Kenneth, is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Associate addressed all of our needs and explained all options/pricing during the ordering process. I highly recommend seeing Ken for your window and door needs for your next home project. If you're in the West Danvers area, I also recommend speaking to George in the same department as he is also knowledgeable and friendly to work with. Thank you, Ken and George!

Everyone in the store was very helpful to me from customer service to employee within the store to the guy who checked me out at the register. It's a big store with a lot of stock and it's not always easy for me to find what I'm looking for so I really appreciate it all the help

I purchased a Hoover Vacuum, with the help of several awesome associates there.

This is my closet Home Depot. I go there fairly frequently and inevitably find that the employees misdirect me, do not know the inventory and show zero interest in actually helping. If you go in expecting the product you just found on the website to be available because the website said there was plenty in stock, you will be unpleasantly surprised much of the time to find that they don't actually have the item. One woman helped me find something yesterday (after misdirecting me to the wrong store location) and that was an anomaly. I really appreciated her; she is the only employee working at this location who has very actually been helpful. Otherwise it's blank stares, blow-offs, "I don't know" and other responses that waste your time. Avoid! Avoid!

Sue in the Returns Department made what could have been an unpleasant experience tolerable and actually pleasant. She was proactive, knowledgeable, patient, and so friendly. Excellent employees are hard to come by .... Home Depot in Salem has one in Sue.

Great store and products but would like to see some support for the cashiers at check out. Not much but having a stool to sit on when your legs and feet get tired would make me feel better during check out. Its a hard job working near the front door and getting off your feet now and then would make everyone feel better

About a month ago, I was in HD looking at doors. I asked the guy working at the door-consultation desk about custom-sized doors. I tried to tell him that it would be for the basement of an old home, and going into an unfinished opening in the foundation. The guy seemed very put off by my questions & said it would cost $40 for someone to come out to the house & give an estimate for the job. I was trying to give him this background info so I wouldn’t waste the $40 if HD doesn’t do such involved jobs. Sure enough, someone came to my house & said HD wouldn’t do the job. But the contractor company tried to sell me on a $1400 door (who needs that costly of a door for an unfinished basement?). Instead, I bought a ~$300 door from HD and am attempting to install it myself. I was back at HD today & asked that same guy at the door consultation desk what type of sealant I should use for installing a prehung, exterior door. He told me I don’t need sealant. I said, nicely, that all the videos and manufacturer instructions say to apply a sealant around the door before putting it in. He again seemed put-off by my question & directed me to the window & door sealing tape, which I needed also, but it wasn’t what I was asking about. If he doesn’t know how to install a door, why doesn’t he say that, or I wonder if he is put-off by a woman asking him these questions? Everyone else I’ve interacted with at this store has been great, even when they tell me they don’t have experience with what I’m doing or can’t answer my questions. Is this guy alone were the only person I’d interacted with, I’d give 1 star. Since other folks there have been friendly and helpful, I’ll give this review a 3.

I went to return an item did not have a receipt and did not pay with my HomeDepot card but they did have my information. Love technology, when it works. I was so happy that they ask no questions and I return my items.

I would recommend the store, but the associate in the power tools department was a male chauvinist. He didn’t even listen to me or help me with a product like I didn’t know what I was talking about because I am a woman????

If you are shopping for Windows definitely go see Ken in the window and door department he is a pleasure to work with.
