Bought this to replace my 29yr old hot water tank

Helping mom here in Sandpoint with projects to do. Went to HD for lawn bags and masking tape. AND some fairy lights for the deck. Signage on each aisle really helped. Challenging to navigate the main aisles with my shopping cart because of merch in the middle of them. Asked an employee stocking shelves for help with finding the lawn bags, and he knew the aisle number right away — I love that employees know the whole store! Thanks for a quick and fun trip to HD — TAH in Sandpoint.

As a homeowner with many projects, I appreciate the friendly attitude and knowledge of many of the employees at the Ponderay Home Depot.

Have always had good experiences with this store. Folks are kind and helpful.

I do projects all over north Idaho. And used to do projects all over the puget sound. Sandpoint has great personal. However the sheet lumber products are below Home Depot Standard. And this store has a design like an Ernst or something.

Everytime I walk into the store and see Lisa R at the front desk I know I'm in good hands. She is always smiling and eagar to please. She is the grease that makes that store run so smoothly.

The CS staff went above and beyond call of duty to help me on April 15, 2025. They deserve praise from management. Thank you Manny and staff!

Frustrating to have to self check…..Long lines to check out with a cashier. Usually can’t get anyone to even answer a question. However this last trip there was actually a FRIENDLY, HELPFUL person at the customer service desk that helped me!!

Home Depot has supplied my home improvement needs for some time and never disappointed me.

Love shopping this store, all the employees are very friendly and helpful and Amethyst White in the Millwork Department is so professional and knowledgeable in the products offered.

Asked if there was samples available of flooring and she rudely just said “no”. No explanation or clarification of it they are out or don’t offer them. Then a few minutes later did clarify they don’t have them and to just buy box’s of flooring and take it home, over all had a very arrogant and rude attitude throughout the interaction though,

This time I came in and asked for light bulb guru. While Randy claimed not to be the person, he stayed with me and we worked through the issue. My Home Depot has helped me through 6 re-models and couldn’t have done it without their great team! Thank you!

It's refreshing to shop the employee like their job.

If. You need help and you are lucky enough to be there when Danny is working, it’s a good day. A fellow Vietnam vet who has provided me and countless others any help or information you may need to get the parts and pieces one may require to complete an electrical task. He’s the best!

Starlink equipment sold in your store. Starlink has a “ saturation” limit in any service area. They only serve a limited number of customers. A notice should be posted telling customers to check their area for availability, before purchasing equipment. This would limit returns and minimize customers frustration finding out that their product is useless or available thier area.

We shop at the Ponderay store often. Nice, helpful employees, clean store. They could probably use a few more employees, but overall a great store.

The only thing I would suggest is training the younger employees to make eye contact, smile and greet the customers whether they are helping them or not. When I was looking for someone to help me, they looked away, when I looked towards them.

I went in looking for a specific rolling tool box. The gentleman there walked with me to find a box. I paid for it and he then went back, put it on a cart and had it ready for my pickup. Super helpful and friendly throughout the store.

Don't expect a timely phone call from the manager if you leave a message there

Why don't you have a desk arrangement for your appliance salesperson??? They have to stand in front of a little table and we the customer have to stand as well. Casework, flooring and blinds etc. depts. all have desks and chairs. Help them help us.

Always get good assistance

We bought our chest freezer in record time. An employee helped direct us where they were located, then another employee helped us load it into the cart. We were able to pay at customer service and she then called for loading assistance, then off we went to another appointment.

I get my 10% veterans discount when I purchase online from home but at check out in store there is no record of my account so even when I present my I.D. card, I still don't get my discount.

Is it too much to ask - add a bike rack to the front of the store. Many bike riders try to lock their bicycles to various poles in the parking lot. While I'm at it - why does HD not adopt Tap to Pay. The existing system is not very secure and is quite slow.

I just so enjoy coming to the Sandpoint Home Depot. You’ll find the very nicest and knowledgeable people anywhere.!!

Employees at the return desk don't need to be suspicious of everyone bringing back a problem product. Especially when a product off the shelf matches exactly what you are bring in that has the problem. In case a hose. They told me the hose looked old. I told them it was in the garden, of course it looks old. I left the store and told them to keep my useless hose. I went back a week later and spoke with a manager and he gave me a replacement.

It's already bad enough that the big Home Depots are always missing that one item you need, but these smaller ones are far worse and can often waste a lot of one's time. However, the worst thing about Home Depots everywhere more recently, is this broad spectrum of replacing excellent product with lesser (or far lesser) mediocre or even inferior brands. What you get for putting 6-figure geniuses at the helm I guess.

Poor and unacceptable issue with an employee. Worst imaginable. I want contacted.
