The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. She actually spoke with me about my day as she was checking me out and made sure I had gotten everything I needed. I had just got done shopping at Walmart, where the cashier barely spoke two words to me except to tell me how much I owed. I will be coming back to your store to purchase anything I need from now on over them.

We are welcomed when the weather is bad and we need a place to walk. This, of course, leads to purchasing items we need.

Every employee we have come in contact with in this store is so helpful and nice!

I was looking for a heater for the bunny barn. The lady i asked where to look knew aisle number, which side and which end right off. There were many models available, and information on shelf edges easy to read, prices clear. The model i chose was less expensive than i had expected, which made me happy. Bill at checkout is efficient and cheerful, and besides, he is fun to visit with. He remembers me, though not by name because i pay cash, and is interested in what i'm doing. Altogether this was a very pleasant visit to the store.

It finally happened. Our 25 year old Amana washing machine bit the dust. Without hesitating we logged into Home Depot.com to check things out. After scrutinizing products and reviews we made our decision and headed into our nearby store (an hour away). When we got there we were introduced to a Samsung line of washers. We were impressed by the new technology and changed our mind from replacing same-for-same with another Amana. We appreciate the warranties from Home Depot and Samsung and also bought an additional 5 year warranty. May this be my last washer purchase in my life ;) I will be honest in saying that the Ponderay (ID)store seems to have changed in the last 2 or 3 years, but its still our go-to store. In general we get good service and they have what we need. It's my favorite "date night."

I was able to find what I wanted online and within an hour I got a text and an email saying it was ready for pickup at the store. When I got to the store, it was all ready to go. All I had to do was pay for it, then I was out the door. Very convenient way to shop. When I go to the store I often have problems finding exactly what I need or want. I can find the item online without wasting time wandering around the store looking for an item. The associates in the store are always willing and ready to help, but this is still a most quicker option.

After working all day the last thing I wanted was to go buy lumber at any store. I went in the Ponderay Store, it was so clean and smelled like a mix of Abbas and fresh cut trees. The associate Mike Telles ran into me and immediately helped me with all my needs and gave me a few good ideas in the process. Pleasant conversation and in 10 minutes I was done and out. Kudos to all that understand grumpy isn't always natural

This store is geared towards creating the best possible shopping experience. It starts with positive greetings from more than one sales associate; extends through location and selection of merchandise and it finishes with the easiest, friendliest checkout that can be found anywhere in this region. I am particularly pleased with having received the veteran's discount and the sincere thank you for my service. I will inform every vet that I know about Home Depot's veteran friendly posture. Thank you HD!

The associates were friendly and helpful with flooring

Store was clean and tidy, as usually expected. However, I found no help in the building materials section. No floor associates were to be found. I needed help too! When I got to the registers, there were six orange aprons standing around in groups talking! I know some were cashiers, but not all of them... No one greeted me on my approach to the registers either, maybe because I looked less than thrilled. I called out, "do you guys all just stand around talking or does someone actually go back there?" No one responded, they all just slinked away to their responsibilities (I hope). Home Depot has a reputation for not having very good customer service on the floor. I only went t here because I live a few blocks away. I will definitely be going to Traders or Badger from now on.

Most Home Depots are clean and organized but the store in Ponderay is always organized, well maintained with associates that are helpful upon entering the store or departing with purchased products. Should the store not have the items I seek, the associate will find the product needed and direct me to that stores location. If its materials you seek, Home Deport is the place to obtain them. If you happen to be a veteran a 10% discount is available during your purchase. In this economy its nice so save any where there is an opportunity.

Not only did we find what we needed quickly, but we had sales associates ask if we needed help (twice in just a few minutes) and had fun at the self check-out. I have never had anything but good experiences at our local store in all the time it has been here. This time, though was the friendliest yet.

Availability of assistance was great. Returns dept was very quick to help correct a mistake on the transaction and refunded my card for an overcharge. Thanks.

Went to store to find supplies for several projects, spoke with an associate about what I wanted to build and possible type of material options they gave good feed back on pros and cons and helped me locate everything I would need to complete the project. They did such a wonderful job that my husband did not believe that I created the project and built it all by myself.

My husband and I are in the beginning phase of a remodeling project on a home that we just purchased. As we are learning, this is a very intimidating experience. The more you tear out, the more scary and expensive it gets. We recently visited the Home Depot store in Ponderay, ID. Our experience was exceptional! First of all we were one of the first five customers in the store that day to open a Home Deport account which gave us an immediate $25 off any purchase. Secondly, Katherine in the appliance department spent a great deal of time with us explaining options for our new kitchen. She lined us out with a new dishwasher, refrigerator, micro hood, and range. She assisted us with rebate information, deferred credit extensions, and discounts that were applicable. We feel she truly went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable with our purchase. We will be back throughout our remodeling project. Thank you Home Depot.

Most items are easy to find and the cashiers are always friendly.

THE ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING AND BUILDING MATERIAL ASSOCIATES ARE USUALLY EXPERIENCED IN THE FIELDS OF THEIR CARE AND ARE EXCELLENT RESOURCES FOR WHEN I HAVE QUESTIONS AND NEED RECOMMENDATIONS AND ALTERNATIVES FOR SOLUTIONS TO DIFFERENT SITUATIONS I AM WORKING ON.

I had to travel to several Home Depots to get 8 of the same light fixtures when I moved my office to a new location. The stores were in North Idaho and Washington. All of the stores are fairly easy to navigate since the layout is the same which takes a lot of guess work out of trying to find the right aisle for the product. I felt that the Sandpoint Home Depot was the friendliest and easiest to find an associate that was available to help. Usually I use the self check out unless I am in the Garden section. I was shocked when one day an associate checked out my cart with his hand held device. There was a long line and he scanned my purchases and swiped my card while in line. Really fast! Usually I can find everything at Home Depot and not have to go to several different stores. Now...if they just sold Canning Jars.....:)

Convenient, clean and well stocked. Better prices than Lowes and better quality

This is my local HD store. I know the department locations and they don't randomly move things around so I can navigate within the store well. Thank you.

A bulb in a Hampton Bay light fixture we love could not be changed after months of trying with the clear plastic "relamping tool" we had, and with one of the three lamps out we finally just had to remove the fixture from the ceiling and replace it. Very difficult and time consuming. An associate during my visit last week tutored me in the use of the new, improved, black softer-rubber tool in an identical fixture on the shelf. I had to buy the new fixture, but when I took it home and tried the improved tool on the old fixture, the bulb came right out. So I replaced it using the new tool and then reinstalled the old fixture. I returned the new fixture with the new, improved tool and asked the cashier if I could buy one of the improved tools and was told the same thing the first associate had said the previous week. I told her how ludicrous it was to have to buy a new fixture when a bulb just needed to be replaced. Sabrina called Kip, the floor manager. When I explained the whole situation, he gave me the new tool and shipped the new fixture back with a note stating a part was missing. Good, clean, quick solution for me next time a bulb needs to be replaced. I love Home Depot and it's my first choice for all home and garden needs, so I hope Hampton Bay will correct the situation so this doesn't happen to other customers.

I COULD NOT HAVE MADE THE PURCHASE I NEEDED WITHOUT THE ASSISTANCE OF ALICE AT THE SERVICE COUNTER. SHE IS VERY EFFICIENT AND HAS COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF HARD TO GET ITEMS. IN FACT ALL THE ASSOCIATES AT THE SERVICE COUNTER WERE VERY HELPFUL AS A TEAM EFFORT.

Used to going to the North Spokane location. Wish it were more like that one.

The ability to search the website for the product we were interested in and to have the inventory numbers available with the aisle and bin numbers was awesome. If this info was not available, we would be driving 35 miles hoping to be able to get the product we desired.
