Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our eco actions.

Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with strong winds, thunderstorms, or blizzards, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Why should I repair my roof before spring severe weather arrives?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperatures swings and storms by replacing or repairing broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be in for a real headache. On the outside of your home, examine metal roof panels or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Gutters should be clear and functional to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check cinder blocks and brickwork for cracks. Indoors, ensure ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped if they're damaged.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through the peephole or a nearby window when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
