While checking out at the self check out a register opened up people started going to that register, but the cashier there was nasty and told me that he wasn’t open and that I needed to wait until I was called but no, he didn’t say that to anyone else. Then I waited almost 30 minutes to get my can of gas and at the whole time treating me like I was a nuisance. Terrible shopping experience at Valley Stream do not go there

Almost every visit to this store for the last month and a half has had lines that were 20 minutes long to check out. And the time I needed help some someone to get something off the top shelf the only guy in hardware was busy cutting customer keys for 30 minutes.

I have been a Home Depot customer and shopped at many locations. This one is consistently the worst. Never enough staff, lines too long, registers not working, on line orders delayed.

What a pleasure to shop at the valley stream store Friendly staff clean store has what you need!! Checkout was a BREEZE!! # 1216 MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL KNOW ABOUT IT!!!

I bought a Tower fan from the store. Great price and great features for the price range. Better than any other store and collection is awesome.

I am so impressed by the Valley Stream Home Depot, something is very different about the store and staff. The experience was seamless and there were so many employees available to assist.

I find it ironic that folks can get fired for so called "misgendeting" someone but young women can call older women "honey", "dear", "love", "sweetheart", etc. Where is the professionalism? Where is the respect? Oh and imagine a male doing it to them. It would be all kinds of misogyny! It is not just Home Depot. All of these customer facing stores need to retrain their staff.

Amazing service and great experience

There were no hardware associate present at the time. Shanice from the cashier department took the time out to walk the aisle and assist with what I needed. Though I didn't find the exact item I found one similar and for her my experience was much better. Shanice also present great customer service skills, as she engaged throughout.

Perfect customer service

I had trouble with a portable AC I purchased on line and spoke to customer service and they told me to bring it right in.The service at the returns desk was great . I spoke to William who was very helpful and courteous who refunded my purchase and then I immediately purchased another AC. Thank you Home Depot for hiring such great customer support and we will be returning for other products.

I was impressed with everyone on the store. Jose was exceptional he was personable and he understood me as a customer.

Reliable stock quantities makes this location a preferred alternative to the elmont store.

Went to green Acres, I was greeted with the warmest smile from Lori the sale cashier. She was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I placed an order at 12 and no email telling me the order us ready. I needed the item that nite but at 5pm it was not done. One cashier saw how upset i was and stepped up to make things right. Kudos to Devi

This location has disgruntled staff members and the weight in the line is very long to check out.There is no self check out.There are representatives who have to scan your items because they don't have proper loss prevention to manage that aspect.

Shanice assisted me when no one would help me. I really appreciated her help especially since I was a time schedule.

Shanice was very helpful and knowledgeable in giving directions to where to locate each items.

I bought a vacuum cleaner for a steal and great experience!!! Valley Stream is my store!

THE CAHIER WAS NICE AND POLITELY AND VERY HELPFULL

Claudia made it so much better! Honestly been going to HD for years, but this time- the happiness that Claudia brings, she is truly a breath of fresh air. She would a definitely be a reason why I would return. It was 15 mins before closing and her smile and friendliness you would think it was opening hours. Such a sweet soul.

I purchased something today, March 6, 2024 and it was a clearance item and when the cashier name is above rang it up it was a whole lot cheaper than the clearance price. She went above and beyond to make sure that it was correct and I left extremely happy.

I wanna say thank you to Ms Sydney. But I wanna also say thank you guy's for being such a diversity store. For making me feel welcome and not making me feel like an criminal as other store make me feel. Ms Sydney as young you are, your smile and helping hand is what makes me realize there is some kindness left in this world

Shanice was phenomenal with assisting me. I waited 30 minutes to get a key cut. She paged continuously before, but as no one showed up she got off the register to assist. She also went on to assist me in finding a shower grab bar for my disabled 4 year old. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SHANICE as she’s the only one who assisted me throughout my purchase.

Never bought paint by myself and this Home Depot helped me without making me feel dumb
