Worst ever customer service and serious quality control issues! Major screwups on orders, blackmail customers to accept wrong size door or charged a fee- Manager refunded money but did not offer to reorder my door and at a discount - to make up for the list time and money spent for labor to install wrong size door-which their door dept admitted to making a mistake in the order!

Buy things for the company all the time

We almost always find what we need.

Today's trip was to have some keys made. The nice lady at the door directed us to the proper area of the store. We immediatly found an employee to help us. He cut our keys. All of the blanks were in stock, with the exception of the key to the file cabinet. The system could not identify that key. But the nice gentleman that cut our keys was very friendly and kind. The keys were a bit pricy. But the experience was pretty much painless. Until we went up front to pay for our keys. All that was available was self checkout. They did not have any maned registers open. Since I do not receive an employee discount, I refuse to process my own transaction. So I went to the customer service counter. They checked me out there. Going thru the checkout line, visiting with the fast and friendly cashier is part of the customer experience that I've grown fond of. Many times at other stores finding someone to assist is difficult. But not today at Home Depot. The customer service was great.

Don't go here if you are in a hurry, can't move around without ditching your cart

Ever since moving to the Wasilla area I have been shopping at this Home Depot. I have always been greeted coming in and thanked for shopping there on the way out. Through out the store employees have always asked me for assistance and. It’s greatly appreciated. Great job, guys.

We've purchased all of our appliances here, love them. Looking into flooring now, they were informative and very helpful.

I have had to make several trips to Home Depot recently and find employees pleasant and courteous weather I am looking for an item, returning something that didn’t work out for me or purchasing items. They greet you as you enter and as you leave.

Don't count on them delivering or for that matter even letting you pick up orders in store when they say they will, even if they call the same day and say its ready to pick up!

If you live in Kodiak, it is cheaper to fly here and rent a U-Haul to wasilla Home Depot and take the ferry back than to get appliances and supplies from Kodiak. Just saying

As an added bonus, I love that it is well staffed and well stocked. For the DIYer. Centrally located in 2nd largest populated area of Alaska with amazing views.

We've been at our local Home Depot to get a new chest freezer. Ms. Tara (Henry) in Appliances was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She also was very good with the (computer) system and helped us in every way she could to get our new freezer. :) Again many thanks, Ms. Tara!

I found a grill and asked an associate if I could get one in a box. They told me they could but it would be a little but. My mistake was assuming that the wait time would be no more than 20 minutes. 45 minutes later and no grill and no one had bothered to update me on the situation, which was the point I started getting upset. I finally flagged down a young employee named Kale who was very helpful. Once I told him my situation he immediately went and pulled the pallet down and returned 10 minutes later to let me know the situation. It took another 10 minutes to have the original employee helping me bring the grill to the front so I could pay, for a grand total of 1 hour wait after requesting to pull the grill. In the meantime there was a crowd of people waiting an extremely long time at customer service while the employees milled about doing nothing behind the counter. One of the absolute worst experiences I've had at home depot. The only thing I can say is that when I finally got checked out they checked me out quick, I'm assuming because I was obviously out of patience. The only reason they got 2 stars is because I appreciate what Kale did to help me.

Sometimes the customer service is even better than usual and today was one of those days. The folks at the paint department are doing a great job. The ladies at the ‘returns’ and the customer service counter are always friendly and pleasant to work with. Thanks for what you do!

We went looking for blinds. Not only did we get the blinds we wanted, we had excellent customer service from Chase, the employee, who actually took interest in our purchase.

need to fix the lighting in parking-lot. It’s really dark cant barley see people walking and doesn’t look open.

On Christmas Eve, the store was pretty crowded and I only wanted 1 product. At the door, even before stepping in, a young woman greeted me and was helpful in telling me where to go for what I wanted. At checkout, I dropped change in the machine but it did not register on the screen. I asked an employee for help, and she tried to assist and was being called to go elsewhere. She was very busy. She came back and dropped a quarter in and it and my previous one registered. After finishing, I looked for her. I wanted to get her name and compliment her on the survey, but she was over helping someone else. She was very busy. Meanwhile, another employee was standing by the register and I asked her who was that woman and described her. She gave me her name. Then she said her name would be on the receipt and I said she had been helpful to me and the third employee praised her. This was Christmas Eve and there were lots of shoppers and Home Depot made an effort to increase customer service interaction. Kudos to them.

Too busy to care bad behavior

I have been in and out of Home Depot over the last couple months for a building project. I even had to return items we didn't need or purchased that was not correct. All met with smiles and no hassles. On other items I needed help with, someone was happy to do it, plus I didn't get that, "you are putting me out feeling" like I have received at the competitions place, which is why I don't shop the competition anymore! Does HD have the best quality, well for a big box store they do pretty good, but remember you do get what you pay for.

Every time I go to this Home Depot, I am met with courteous and respectful employees who are more than willing to take the time to help me find what I need, with no sales pressure, no confusion, and absolutely great service, all the time with smiles.

Been over an hour waiting to get loaded with drywall and talked to 3 different people and called and yet we still sit here and wait.
