The kitchen designer I worked with, Andrew Nguyen, was very patient and knowledgable. Andrew was creative in helping me figure out a challenging kitchen layout.

I came to the store on 4/18 and the gentleman in the paint dept, while nice, was not overly helpful nor engaging. Today, 4/22, Tristan was working and was extremely helpful. I was trying to find the amount of black in some paint samples and he ran the sample ratios so we could look at all the paint choices I had. He also got out the Behr paint sample book so we could look at additional options that weren't on the wall in the store.

We used the design service to create our basement bar. It was a fantastic experience and provided us with a beautiful design the met our needs.

We needed a new kitchen countertop and had a great experience. Making an appointment was fast and easy. Our sales associate, Ms. Fifi, was fantastic, friendly, helpful and really listened to our situation and what we needed. Very happy and would happily return to this store and to the specific associate.

I’m always finding what I need. I usually am able to find competent and friendly help in the store. I like the variety at HD. I wish this store was bigger and carried more patio furniture. The kitchen area is displayed so nice. I love the curbside service. It’s fast and the folks always helpful to load. The curbside app doesn’t scroll correctly on my iPhone, but that’s not in the store level to fix. Somehow I manage.

Bought some lumber today, and Derrick even cut it for us according to our exact specifications. Thanks Derrick! Would give him 10 stars if we could

Recently they’ve started having employees standing by the self-pay registers and checking people out, making small talk. Why have regular registers and self-pay if they’re all the same?

The Madison West store consistently has the friendliest most supportive customer service. The floor employees know the store and are helpful. I never feel like I'm an inconvenience when I have a question or need assistance!

I didn't know exactly what to buy. all were very helpful.

West Madison - Home Depot is by far the best home improvement store I have ever been to and I have been to plenty in my 56 years. The customer service and absolute product knowledge is superior. "People who care and there to help" that's my moto for this amazing store!

My wife and I have been building our new house by ourselves for the last 16 months and due to pandemic-induced supply issues, we decided to order our appliances from HD far earlier than one would normally do so because we weren't sure if we'd even get them by the time we needed to move in. Unfortunately because of a supply issue on cabinets (through a different company), we needed to return a microwave that would no longer fit in the new cabinet. The appliances had been delivered months earlier than our move-in date, and because the policy states that we only had 24 (48?) hours to return un-installed/new-in-the-box appliances after delivery, (by the way corporate leaders, this is an asinine policy during these uncertain times if you're trying to increase customer retention...), we had little hope of exchanging the microwave for one that would properly fit our needs. Fortunately, we encountered Erik, the Customer Experience Manager, who thoroughly explained the policies, and then went ahead and made us happy customers despite those policies. Erik ensured that we received full store credit for the microwave (~$350), which we then put towards a new Dewalt Miter Saw (~$650), a Dewalt saw stand (~$190), and a new Diablo saw blade (~$75). Had we had a poor experience, we'd likely have gone somewhere else for those items that we hadn't committed to purchasing yet. Bottom line, the suspension of the rules for our situation made us want to spend more money at HD. I am also moving some of my company's spending in these categories to HD from their competitors because of our positive experience. Thank you Erik and the staff at HD Madison West.

Great experience with the store

We have working with a Home Depot Kitchener Designer and have had the most awesome experience. Our designer spent so much time with us, over several meetings, and worked with us to create a beautiful and detailed design. And it was far more affordable than a quote we got from a private company that charged us hundreds upfront for a design, spent only 1 session face to face & stopped calling when we said we didn't want custom cabinets.

Could do better on picking up the phone, waited 10 minutes and no one picked up so I hung up my phone. Wasn't busy when I went there in person to buy what I needed. Still, close by and got what I needed.

My internet was down and I decided to call and inquire about a wash machine. I was immediately transferred to a very knowledgeable, polite, and cheerful employee who answered an incredible amount of questions and process my order in record time. He made sure my delivery time was suited to my needs and truly cared that everything was to my satisfaction and explained everything in detail.Then, the delivery men were also outstanding! Once again, polite, on time, phoned 30 minutes ahead, knowledgeable, very respectful of my home, the appliance and myself. Made sure I understood everything and made sure I was satisfied. I’am blown away as this was the absolute best experience I have had. This was an expensive purchase and these people took the time, knew their stuff and really cared. I felt 100% confident of my purchase. Hats off to Home Depot for hiring such amazing human beings. So refreshing and I will absolutely make this my number one store

I was very nervous about the carpet buying process. Home Depot store #4909 in Madison and flooring specialist Cody Balsamo made the process simple and clear. He was friendly, helpful and patient with all my questions. I highly recommend Cody and this store to anyone thinking of purchasing carpet and installation.

The employees at this location are very helpful and personable. Always available to help out. You do not have to go searching for an employee to assist you like in some other Home Improvement Stores. I also like the variety of shopping carts that are available, for safely handling the different types of products that I purchase. Cashiers are efficient and always smiling. And,..I did not see any employees on their personal cell phones, like you often see in other businesses. Very refreshing!

No one can blame front line workers for the lack of leadership at this store. 95 percent of people who work here are good people. Unfortunately they are being led by a liar store manager named John and a lack of people skills assistant manager Jason. Their hardware manager Mark is personally responsible for more people quitting employment there than anyone. The state of Wisconsin awarded me unemployment after quitting because the state of Wisconsin recognized that the store reneged on an accommodation due to a Hardware manager who has no business supervising anyone. I only worked there 5 months but I heard believable stories dating back 8-10 years!!!! Home Depot has mandated their store policy in regards to store associates have them just below customers. Not so at this store. Store 4909 is just another top down authoritarian model complete with managers who have little skill in the Home Depot model.

I am severely disappointed in you're service. I ordered a Garage Door Installation on July 10. It is now July 25 and NOTHING has been done. Hardly and calls or any communication on to when they will fix my door. I will not be going back to this location.

Randy in plumbing is the best, he's SUPER knowledgeable. It's sometimes hard to track down an employee to help, but they're usually pleasant and helpful when you can. Long-time employees are a dream to work with because they really know their stuff.

Great customer service from the time i walked in, in the appliance dept. and at the cashier checkout! Two young men loaded my appliances into my car. As a senior, I appreciated all of the employees help and great customer service. Thank you! J Lynaugh 7/18/21
