Questions and Answers for Weber Original Kettle Premium 22 in. Charcoal Grill in Black with Built-In Thermometer

A:  Hi! Yes, our charcoal grills can be used on a patios, however, we recommend an open space of at least 24inches on all sides from any combustible materials.

A:  No, the 17” round charcoal grate at the bottom and the 22” round cooking grate on top rest on fixed pins with no provided adjustments.

A:  Looks like the premium and master touch both have the same ash system. Before each use I just move the lower vent arm back and forth a few times to shake out the old ashes that fell to the bottom. Just empty the ash catcher when it’s full. Super simple. Went with the master touch mainly b/c it had a thicker gauge grate. I cook whole briskets on this thing all the time, I love it.

A:  Great question! The Original Kettle Premium has the hinged plated steel cooking grate. The Master-Touch has the Gourmet BBQ System hinged cooking grate, warming rack, the Tuck-Away lid holder and the Two-Char-Basket charcoal fuel holders. Hope this helps!

A:  At the time of my purchase it was the price that made the difference for me. I have never used the original to tell the difference with my own experience’s 

A:  As far as I know Weber doesn't make a flat griddle for their specifically for their kettle grills but I've always used a cast iron pizza pan as a griddle on my kettle. It works just fine as a griddle and it can be used as a pizza pan in the oven so 2 birds one stone.

A:  Mine only has the built-in hook in the lid. But that works just fine.

A:  Ours has a hook that attaches to the side of the grill.
