Used it to attach metal joist hangers to the wood. They drive in pretty easily and have excellent strength. Perfect for use with treated lumber which is 1.5" ( actual thickness). Package contains matching driver bit( a plus).

These screws were used on the bottom of the stringers along with the heavy Gusset Angle bracket (GA), which can be seen at the far side of the bottom of the stairs. These screws drive in very well and hold like crazy, nicely paired with the heavy gauge angles.

Easy to insert into lumber.

Solid screws for the price. I've used them over the years on deck joist hangers and mending plates. These screws are much easier to install and stronger than 10d nails. These screws also have a quality galvanized coating. Each box comes with a driving bit and my impact driver drives them very quickly. No need for pre-drilling.

I used these with angle brackets to attach my foundation top plate to the house's floor joists (er, the 2x6 that runs around the perimeter of the house) for seismic reasons. Most went in without a problem (some needed a little help with a hammer to get them started), didn't see any splitting in 60yr old wood. I won't know if they are really good until an earthquake hits, tho. Check back then...

Excellent. Our rental burned down and the structural engineer called for these to upgrade our deck. Used to connect a 4x10 rim joist to the ceiilng joists under the balcony. We used them with the simpson A34 and it's very strong. They may be small, but you have 8 screws per A34. City passed it right away and we'll be using about another 600 soon for the balcony rails.

Drives in well, infrequently splits wood, grips very tight, easy to remove if needed.

These screws worked perfectly to attach the metal tie plates to 70 feet of 2x4s and 2x6s for my garden edging. The box of screws even includes a hex head socket for easy installation of the screws. The only problem I had was every Home Depot in my area was out of stock of these screws. I had to drive 40 miles to get these screws for my project but it was worth the drive.

I hate banging nails in tight spots, made life so much easier. Easy to remove to lift a joist hanger and reset.

Good screws!! Milled well. Hex head and provided drive bit confirm nicely. Screw threads uniform and sturdy. Work perfectly with the Simpson Strong Tie hardware. I wouldn’t recommend using anything but these matched priducts.

The box states 100 quantity. The web pages details states 100 quantity. But there was only about 48 in the box. The box was almost full so no way would 100 fit in it. Its a good screw for what it does, Buyer beware.

Used these nails to attach Simpson ties to deck support. Excellent quality.
