I bought this so that I could 'build' mounts for in-ceiling speakers in an old-school 12x12 inch drop ceiling that used fiberglass tiles. In my case, the tile mounts where wooden slats, not the metal rails of more modern installations. The tiles are stapled in, not glued in which helped with cutting them out. The 1/2 inch thickness was perfect and blended in fine with the existing tiles. Cutting 6* tiles out and building 6 replacements to mount speakers in wasn't much fun, but all went well. *Actually 8 tiles, because of course my main support beam was right in the middle of the room, which is where the middle speakers needed to go. I had to expand the gap and offset the middle speakers due to the beam.

Finished some mahogany boards with, and the came out beautiful.

Easy to work with, good thickness , easy to cut and break apart

This patch panel is a quick and easy way to get a small piece of drywall for a patch or repair. The edges are straight with one side taped, also the corners are square. This is a bit expensive compared to getting a full 4'x8' sheet, but I only needed a small piece for a repair and I do not have the space to store excess material if I bought a full sheet. Made of high quality gypsum and USG is the leader in drywall.

I don’t do a lot of drywalling, so having an option to get smaller pieces instead of an entire panel is nice. Mine was clean cut, square with smooth edges. My only complaint about these is you pay out the nose for the convince of having smaller pieces. Two small pieces cost as much if not more than a full sheet, if I had my truck available would of just got the full sheet and did my own cuts.

I only bought these as weather wasn't good for transporting a full sheet. A full sheet would have been more cost effective for my project. Please wear gloves when handling as I was unaware of little fibers that protrude from fresh snap cuts. These fibers felt like fiberglass... please wear a face mask when using a Surform on this product. Also, as a former HD Team Member, if space is a concern in your transport method or weather isn't decent and you need drywall... an associate may be kind enough to cut a full sheet down... or you can cut one down yourself at the store... you'd just have to pay for the whole sheet. I should have just bought a whole sheet.

This product made my patch job so easy. I was grateful to not have to get a full sheet of drywall. This was the perfect size. It was easy to install into my hole and trim down for the hole. these are very decently priced. They are durable too. Love this product made it easy for me to be able to fix the hole without my husbands assistance. Great product.

I purchased this drywall panel to use with my ceramics/pottery building. All that's required is putting duct tape around the edges and it's good to go. The drywall helps to wick away the moisture from wet clay making it more workable. It works great! The board in this photo was used with brown clay to make this pot and then wiped with a wet sponge. I think you can see, it's none the worse for wear!

Asked about a piece of shtrock, was shown to where there were precut pieces by an associate. was pleased that H D had precut pieces.. fitted my needs, not havg to buy a full sht.
