When the person came to install the backsplash he noticed the cabinet was pulled away from the wall. Plus the cabinet was raised off the floor in front of cabinet. The person who was installing the floor noticed this also and he straighten the cabinet because he could not install the new floor without the cabinet flush to the floor. That is when we noticed the countertop was not leveled.

I ordered a countertop from Home Depot and this was my experience. I understand that not all experiences may be the same: 1.I was told a shorter lead time by online ordering and then after ordering that lead time was increased and timelines were not met. 2. A 99% project deposit based off personal measurements was required. The website noted free professional measurements, which I assumed a small deposit would be required, but not the entire project's amount. The deposit ended up being more than the total project cost after the professional measurement, so I had to pick up a refund in cash at the store. 3. I was told that I would be reached out to in 72 hours of ordering to schedule the measurement by the online team. After that time, I called to see what I needed to do in order to get the project started. They noted I needed to call my local store.The timeline of 72 hours was then changed to 2 weeks. 4. The subcontractor proceeded to ask me for all of the information I had already given to Home Depot. I asked them to get that info from Home Depot since I had already provided it and did not want to have to collect the information again and they noted that Home Depot did not have the information. 5. I had to stay home from work to ensure someone was there for installation. The countertop was then dropped in my driveway, and they weren't able to install that day. Mistakes happen, but that was not the issue. I never really received anything about the incident or information about the new timeline. I also had to communicate with the plumber who was subcontracted in order to let him know he would not be able to install since I did not have countertops installed yet. Overall - Communication was very poor. Communication between Home Depot and I, communication between Home Depot Online and In-Store, and especially communication between Home Depot and the subcontractors. For a project as small as one countertop, I did not expect to have to be fielding calls between 3 different parties (Home Depot, Sub for Countertop, Sub for Plumbing) and organizing the project. I assumed they would communicate externally and let me know what timeline(s) worked best for them and then show up to complete the installation in one appointment. The reason I put fair is because the countertop material and installation of the countertop, sink and plumbing once completed both look good and I have no issues, but the process to get there was unpleasant.

The counter top itself is very nice. The fit is good. The sink was installed but the mounting bracket was in the way of installing the drinking water faucet. They had to remount the sink bracket so the faucet could be installed. I also had a back splash on the order. They came back to install that But they brought the wrong size and had to go back and rerun the backsplash properly. When they came back to install the proper back splash they didn?t bring the part that was to go behind the sink. Two of the other three were ok But the last piece the electrical outlet holes didn?t line up correctly. They installed it anyway. I was able to order oversized outlet covers to cover up the mistake that was made. now on the fourth and final trip they brought the piece for above the sink they installed it and explained that they could not get the seam to line up straight. After they left I fixed it myself.
