Compressor died after 1.5 years. We've had nothing but issues with our KA refrigerator and dishwasher. Do not buy KitchenAid Products!

We purchased this refrigerator in December 2023. It is less that 7 months old and the compressor has already gone out. We were out of town when it happened and lost all the food and had an awful stinking mess to clean up. We waited for 2 weeks for the new compressor to be ordered and get installed. Once that was fixed the ice maker has quit working. It has been 2 weeks and still have not had anyone come look at the ice maker. All calls and repairs have been done through Kitchen Aid customer service. We have cleaned the refrigerator numerous times and the smell is still nauseating when the door is open. Gnats are always in the refrigerator. We had to buy a small refrigerator to use because the smell penetrates our vegetables etc. We have been told by the customer service that there is nothing they can do about the smell. This has been the worst experience we have ever had with an appliance. Our neighbor told us to be sure to keep the repair persons business card. He said as long as we had a KitchenAid appliance we would need it. We will never buy anything from Kitchen Aid or any brand associated with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my KitchenAid 26.8 Cu Ft refrigerator almost 2 months ago so I really don't know how it will perform over time? However, I've always been a KitchenAid fan and so far I'm pleased with this product too. It has a spacious interior, with configurations that maximize the storage. I was a little concerned w/the "door in a door" ice maker setup; but this really doesn't seem to reduce space at all. And the veggie drawers are surprisingly ample as well - something my previous refrigerator lacked... One final positive comment - this refrigerator looks good with 'bar stock' handles and clean lines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went fridge shopping for the largest one I could get to fit in my space, so far very happy with my purchase. I like that the shelf levels are adjustable, love the pull out shelf and all the separate compartments in the freezer. Ice cube dispenser is a little slow, but adequate. Drawers seem very sturdy, much better than the last fridge I had.

The inner compartment door is not aligned and closing properly. It seems to me the installation was not well done.

However, it is noisy, not sure if it's the compressor or what, it is significantly louder than my old refrigerator. And I wish there was an icemaker in the freezer, not just the door. It doesn't keep up with my family of five.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator in Mid May and returned it mid June. The motor was so noisy I heard it in another room. It stopped making ice twice. Once I reset the ice machine, the next time I jolted the whole refrigerator. The ice maker door doesn't close smoothly due to the ice machine gasket at the top of the door. You need to apply pressure or close firmly. Finally, the temperature control did not work properly where different times the refrigerator temperature went from 50 down to 32 degrees, freezing some top shelf items. I did return it for the same model and the new one works much better although it still is a little noisier than I would have liked.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this back in February of 2024 and we have already had to have a repair person come out twice due to leaking refrigerant. We are waiting on them to come back out for a third time, only 2 days after it was “fixed” the 2nd time, as it is already not cooling any more. We love the features but losing food twice with a 3-4 month old fridge is not what we were hoping for when we replaced our broken Samsung.

I have had constant problems with this refrigerator. It has moisture dripping inside from top to bottom. Water puddles behind the veg bins. Kitchen Aid has now sent Flamingo Appliance Repair 7 times, replacing gaskets, damper and ice box. Nothing has worked, this is a lemon. Kitchen Aid has so far refused to take responsibility and refund my money,so I can replace this disaster. BEWARE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this fridge! Plenty of room and great design! Practical and beautiful! I do hear what sounds like a telephone ringing but it doesn't bother me. It must be the ice maker.

So far so good, still adjusting to the French style after 20 years of side by side refrigerators. It gives a good warning chime for open refrigerator door, but could use a similar chime for the freezer drawer. Will update this if anything develops as time goes by.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 3 weeks ago. It has always leaked water into freezer drawer rubber. When I called you scheduled tech quickly. He is replacing the drawer! This is very unsatisfactory to me in regards to needing to replace the drawer! I thought Kitchen Aid was top quality. Apparently not. I paid a premium for this appliance. The Kenmore Elite that it replaced was almost 20 years old and never broke down, etc.
