I have two grills and have a Weber chimney starter that I really like for my larger grill. I bought the Weber Compact chimney starter for my smaller kettle grill because it uses less charcoal. This is exactly what I needed. I wish I had bought it sooner. This starter is excelent quality I would highly recommend it for lighting smaller amounts of charcoal.

This product is absolutely necessary thing to ignore charcoal.

Perfect for my Jumbo Joe 18" Grill. The Jumbo doesn't require much charcoal, so this is the perfect size for it!

Works great when you want a smaller amount of charcoal

too small, the area underneath is too small to ignite regular briquettes, the area above doesn't hold enough briquettes, construction is okay (they used screws to hold the handle and unit together instead of pop rivets which rusted), design is poor!

Or if you are grilling on the bigger grills, but really don't need allot of coals to do the job. Compact is the way to go. When pack space is a concern, and you don't need a ton of charcoal to cook your meals, this is perfect tool for the job. I highly recommend it. The compact model is about 1/3 the size of the original chimney starter, and half the price.

I already have the Big Daddy Chimney starter, but I wanted a smaller version so as to carry in a toolbag. This small version is ideal, just as easy to start the charcoal, it doesn't require too much newspaper to fuel the fire. I did't have to buy a minimum to get free shipping like at Amazon. I picked it up at my local Homedepot. Would definitely recommend the tool and HomeDepot as a source for this Chimney..

Smaller than I thought. But doesn't the job. Will look closer at size next time. But gets the job done

easy to use. the "heat guard" between the handle and the chimney kept my hand safe from the heat.

It does what is expected

It works ! The Larger Chimney charcoal starter heats up a lot faster . This one works but it is better suited for the smaller BBQ’s and takes longer to get the coals to ash over . Also I think the price should be lower than a bigger model . It actually cost more for less performance . I use my Grills and Smokers a lot . It’s a Weber product and should last a long time .

The chimney starter shipped and arrived very quickly. It's the perfect size for my 18" Weber grill. It is very well built just like its bigger brother.

Just right for small grill

This chimney starter is the perfect size for a small bbq grill.

I use the small Weber Smoky Joe Grill and this compact chimney lights more than enough charcoal for my needs. I have the larger Rapidfire chimney for the home Weber kettle. Both are excellent charcoal chimneys.
